Cadence provides a set of electronic design automation (EDA) tools for electronics design.
We are using the Cadence tools in academic research to design and layout CMOS mixed-mode analog-digital circuits.
Design of analog continuous-time and discrete-time filters, hybrid filter banks and neural networks are being studied.
The Cadence products are also been used in graduate and undergraduate classes in homeworks problems and specific course projects.
The Electrical
Engineering department site licenses for Cadence includes the following 2006
standard University Software Program bundles:
Cadence tools are located on the Engineering lab Linux workstations in the directory: /cds/Opus/user
